The Importance of Deep Conditioning

Land of the Deep Conditioner

Bonjour! Ok, so I don't know why I chose to speak on deep conditioning when I fail all the time lol but I'm trying so you can too! Deep conditioners have a lot of myths behind them, such as repairing damaged hair, or improve curl patterns or whatever other crazy things i've heard. However, deep conditioners do work miracles in the sense that they help smooth the cuticle, giving hair a smooth, sleek and shiny appearance. For me, it helps battle dryness and gives my hair the full, shiny and moisture filled look. So if you want to know more about deep conditioners, enter in.

Twist out after Deep Conditioning/Wash routine!

Still day one!

Deep conditioners can do MIRACLES for hair that feels rough or dry. It can greatly improve the quality of your hair, whether you do it once a week or twice a month. Some people don't find it necessary, but hey, it doesn't hurt to have lovely luscious and moisturized hair. When your hair quality is improved, the amount of damage done to your hair can be greatly reduced, and you'll find increased shine, manageability, and strength in your strands. For those who don't do protective styling, deep conditioners can serve as extra preventative measure to "protect your hair" since it's continuously exposed to the elements. Some people go as far to do protein treatments to strengthen their strands, but I'm too lazy for all of that. Sorry lol

My favorite D.C's are homemade, although I do occasionally use Giovanni's Smooth as Silk Deeper Moisture Conditioner (I'm trying to finish the giant bottle, sigh). I do oil treatments that include castor oil, jojoba oil and coconut oil or , egg and honey treatments with olive oil. All of these treatments can be found easily online at http://homemadedeepconditioner.com/, however I do recommend putting a plastic cap and using external heat sources or your own body heat to allow the deep conditioner to work its miracle. If you don't notice a change in your hair's moisture levels, or even the way it feels, go out and try some creams/store products! Trust me, the benefits are something you'd want to reap. Ill be sure to post deep conditioner reviews in the near future ;) Until then, Ciao!

Deep Conditioning also makes you Fierce!
